B.C. Cabinet & First Nations
Leaders’ Gathering

Welcome Message

Representatives of the First Nations Leadership Council joined Premier David Eby and Minister Murray Rankin to open last year’s First Nations Leaders’ Gathering.

The 2023 B.C. Cabinet and First Nations Leaders’ Gathering took place November 2-3, 2023 on the territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish) and səl̓ilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) at the Vancouver Convention Centre West. The Gathering is a partnership between the First Nations Leadership Council and the Government of British Columbia.

The 2023 Gathering was one of the largest gatherings to date with more than 1,000 delegates participating in plenary and discussion sessions and 850 one-on-one meetings throughout the two days.

Engaging in face-to-face discussions and connecting with leaders from other communities helps us all move forward on the path to building a fair, just, and equitable future. By working together, we are advancing respectful government-to-government relationships that support reconciliation and self-determination.

We thank you for joining us.

The 2023 B.C. Cabinet and First Nations Leaders’ Gathering has now concluded. Please visit this page again in the spring for more information about the next Gathering.
