B.C. Cabinet & First Nations Leaders’ Gathering

The 2022 B.C. Cabinet and First Nations Leaders’ Gathering took place November 29-30 on the territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish) and səl̓ilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) at the Vancouver Convention Centre West. The Gathering is a partnership between the First Nations Leadership Council and the Government of British Columbia.

The 2022 Gathering was one of the largest gatherings to date with more than 1,000 delegates participating in plenary and break-out sessions and 800+ one-on-one meetings throughout the two days.

Engaging in face-to-face discussions and connecting with leaders from other communities helps us all move forward on the path to building a fair, just, and equitable future. By working together, we are advancing respectful government-to-government relationships that support reconciliation and self-determination.
